Make this incredibly delicious Sausage Biscuits and Gravy Casserole recipe for an easy breakfast or brunch recipe to feed a group!
Do you ever wish you lived in another part of the country or the world so you could eat the food that the region was know for on a regular basis? I often dream about where else I would live based off the food I could eat. Generally, Italy is the winner. I’ve certainly planned vacations around the cuisine in certain regions of the United States. I go to the coasts for the seafood, I go to Chicago for the beef, pizza and Italian food and I go South for the true Southern comfort food. There’s so many interesting places in the world and so many different cuisines I enjoy. But when it comes to living in the U.S. there’s perhaps no region that’s defined food as such a cultural phenomenon like the South.
Barbecue, crawfish, Jambalaya, grits, biscuits and gravy…I think we can all agree the Southern United States has claim.

Tips for this making Sausage Biscuits and Gravy Casserole recipe
- One of my favorite parts about the Sausage Biscuits and Gravy Casserole recipe is that you can prep the meal ahead of time. You can make the casserole portion of the dish the night before and stick it in the refrigerator overnight. Then the next morning pop it in the oven while you make the gravy.
- You can keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Just keep the Casserole separate from the gravy so it does not get overly soggy. Reheat in the microwave for about 3 minutes or in the oven for about 10 minutes.
- You can substitute the whole milk in the dish for a milk that’s not as heavy. however, just keep in mind, this Sausage Biscuits and Gravy Casserole recipe is a take on the traditional Biscuits and Gravy. It’s a heavy dish and it’s supposed to be that way. Alerting the ingredients will alter the taste.
- The Sausage Biscuits and Gravy Casserole recipe does include eggs. There’s really no substituting for them friends. If you have an allergy to chicken eggs, see if you can use duck eggs instead.
- The only thing you really need to make this is a casserole dish. If you need a beautiful one, check out this one.
