Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh green beans
  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds
  • Additional salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
  • Wash and dry the green beans and then trim the stems. Line them up together to do this faster.
  • Place them in a single layer on a baking sheet and drizzle them with the olive oil. Toss to coat them on all sides and make sure they get back to the single layer for cooking.
  • Sprinkle with the sea salt and pepper and then bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove them from the oven and add the almonds. Toss them again to coat the almonds in the olive oil.
  • Bake for another 3 minutes or so. Don't go over 5 minutes or the almonds will get too browned.
  • Remove and serve immediately.
