Ingredients

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips - milk, semi sweet or dark chocolate
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 TBSP. vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  • Add the milk and heavy cream to a pan on the stove and heat through on a medium to low flame. Whisk regularly.

  • Add in the vanilla and simmer for 3 minutes.
  • Add in the chocolate chips and whisk continuously until they're melted. Reduce to a simmer.
  • If you want to add in the salt, add it in now.
