Add olive oil to a large pot or Dutch Oven and heat through.
Add onions and garlic and cook until they are translucent. Then add the carrots and cook about about two minutes.
Add the chicken broth and tomatoes. Then bring to a light boil for about 5 minutes.
Reduce to a simmer and add the dried and fresh spices, Cannelloni beans and rest of the vegetables EXCEPT the broccoli and peas. Simmer for about 30 minutes.
Add the broccoli and simmer for about another 30 minutes.
Add the peas in about 15 minutes before serving.
Serve with additional fresh basil and fresh Parmesan cheese.
