Squeeze the lemons and set lemon juice aside.
Add the honey, 2 cups of water and ginger to a pan over medium heat.
Bring to a simmer and then turn off the heat and let sit for 30 minutes.
Strain the honey and ginger syrup and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Fill tall glasses (or a large pitcher) with ice and add 3 parts lemon juice, 3 parts honey and ginger syrup and 4 parts water.
Mix and serve with a fresh basil leaf. You can also serve this shaken too if you want to add it to a shaker.
