Roasted Chickpeas in the oven

Equipment

  • 1 baking sheet lined with foil paper

Ingredients

  • 2 cans Chickpeas or garbanzo beans (They're the same thing)
  • 1-2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp fresh cracked pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
  • Open and drain the cans for the Chickpeas completely. Lay them out on a paper towel for 10 minutes to help reduce extra moisture.
  • Add the chickpeas to a baking sheet with the olive oil and spices. Mix by lightly sharing the sheet or using your hands.
  • Add them to the oven for 20 minutes. Check on their doneness then and give them 5-10 more minutes. More than likely they will need closer to 30 minutes to be done but just check. You can even do a taste test of the crunch if you like.
  • Once done, you can eat them right away or let them cool and store them. They will get crunchier over time.
