Come see all these kitchen storage organization ideas that will help you organize the heart of your home. From the pantry items to your plates, there’re something here to make it function better. Save this just in case you need it later!
If there’s one room in my house that needs to be completely re-organized right now, it’s the kitchen. Our kitchen is big and while that’s a complete blessing, I also find that something that means we (and by we I mean Kevin and the kids because I’m much too annal) just put things wherever we want. This year I’ve made a commitment to make sure I get the kitchen organized better. Frankly, I feel better when it’s more organized. I know not everyone can see my drawers, but knowing they’re tidy inside gives me a sense of calmness. Maybe it’s because it makes me feel like I have my life together – even behind the scenes? 🙂
Whatever the case, I wanted to share some of these kitchen storage organization ideas with you. Some of these I have, and some of them I don’t have yet but I thought could be helpful. I’ll point out which ones as we move along. The full list is a mix between great Amazon product finds and higher end products that I love.
Canisters, containers and baskets
Canisters, baskets and containers in the kitchen are probably the most important to me when it comes to kitchen storage organization. Mainly because I tend to keep our food in these items. My pantry is full of the containers with the black tops {HERE} that hold our baking supplies. I have really large ones since I tend to bake a lot, and I love that these have a seal on them so nothing can get in. It helps to keep my ingredients fresh too. The only downside is that the tops are metal so you have to make sure you wipe off any moisture. There is a slightly smaller one {HERE}.
I also have used other ones like these glass ones {HERE} one and off for things like coffee beans, tea and more. I like being able to see my coffee beans or snacks for the kids so I know when we need to order more.
I utilize baskets like this one {HERE} for packages of rice, ramen (Yes, we eat that because I have an obsessed tween) and more. But I also love these ones {HERE}. My favorite thing about that set is that they look beautiful and you can’t see anything inside, which sometimes helps my eyes feel like things aren’t as cluttered.
The spice drawer
I am planning a spice drawer intervention this year. In fact I’m hoping to have it done next week because my spice drawer is a mess and needs some kitchen storage organization. I bought these {HERE} to use to help me organize the drawer and make everything look uniform. I also can’t wait to have it all in alphabetical order. I love that these come with labels too, but I might make my own just in case I have some spices that aren’t included in the labels. I’ll show you the drawer when it’s all done.
Plastics storage
So, while we try to be good stewards of the Earth here and not use a ton of one-time use plastics, we do have these things. I bought this for plastic baggies {HERE} and this {HERE} for tin foil, parchment paper, etc. We used to keep these in a pantry but now I keep them in a drawer. You can see them in a photo below. I also keep my beeswax wraps in here and the paper snack bags we use more often in back of all this. I’d love to find a paper bag organizer too. They don’t really roll correctly to work with these. However, I’m much happier with this kitchen storage organization solution than I was before.
Functional storage
Functional storage is what I call storage that looks good. Some of the baskets here and the stands are what I would call functional storage. I ordered this stand {HERE} to leave by the stove with some essential spices and olive oil. I love the look of it and thought it would work well for our kitchen too. I could keep it on the counter but still make it look nice.
Rolling Carts
Lastly, carts are a big part of helping a lot of people’s kitchens work. I don’t have space for one and don’t need one since I have a large pantry. However, I have used this one {HERE} in my soap and pottery room in the barn and love it. I also have something similar to this {HERE} in the laundry room and it’s really helpful!

I have a rolling cart in my kitchen and love it. It is great for the bread and potatoes.

I’m such a huge fan of storage anything and my kitchen is where I use it the most. Those glass canisters are on my list for my next purchase.
Oh, all of these are nice and much needed in our home! This is one of my goals this year to organize my kitchen and remodel it.
These racks and stand alone shelves have my utmost interests!
I use most of these already but I do need something for my spices.
