Before fall ends and winter officially sets in in Michigan, I wanted to share one of our favorite fall recipes.
However, since the lines here between our seasons tend to blur in the Midwest, I think you’ll find my Instant Pot Pulled Pork Sandwiches with homemade barbecue sauce is great for any of the colder months. And the barbecue sauce is perfect for everything summer time too.
We also love to serve these Instant Pot Pulled Pork Sandwiches at parties. We’ve made it for both kids’ baptisms back in Chicago when everyone was over the summer hotdogs and Italian beef sandwiches. And, it’s so easy to make Instant Pot pulled pork in big batches! It’s great for New Year’s Eve or sliders for holiday appetizers and could even work well for the super bowl.

I also like to cheat a bit when making it in the fall and winter because it doesn’t require me to slow roast it on the grill for hours and hours. We make it in our pressure cooker or Slow cooked for a very hands-off and perfect-for-a-busy-day kind of recipe.
This batch I whipped together in the Instant Pot. We love to cook with it. It makes life very easy to make fast, delicious meals. You can find the Instant Pot we have {HERE} and you can see how I use it in the video below.
When cooking it in the pressure cooker, the meat comes out juicy, tender and full of flavor (as long as it’s flavored well before going in). It’s perfect for these sandwiches and leftovers make a great taco too.
And while the tender meat may be the star of this recipe, the co-star is my homemade barbecue sauce. It’s bold, sweet and tangy with a taste that will leave you wanting to slather it on everything. You can find the recipe below, save it and make it next summer. I promise, you’ll want to! It’s a showstopper.
We also like to top off our pulled pork with this gorgeous, crunchy Apple Coleslaw. You can find the recipe for that here and you’re going to want to book mark that one too.
