If there’s someone in your life who loves fitness these are the best gift ideas for working out. Save this post so you can visit year after year and check things off the list!
If might be weird to see a list of gift ideas for working out and fitness on what is otherwise a home, garden and DIY website. However, this year, I’ve literally worked my butt off. When we finished the basement last year we created a very small home gym space there. I used our treadmill for over 250 days straight and lost about 35 pounds. So, while fitness is not something I talk about much here, it is something I’ve spent a lot of time participating in and making a part of my daily life. If you also have someone who loves fitness, then these gift ideas for working out are for you.
Cardio equipment
Ok, so I know that cardio equipment is expensive. But perhaps you’re shopping for a spouse or someone else who plays a major role in your life that you love. Here’s a few gift ideas for working out for cardio lovers.
Treadmill
So, 13 years ago, we bought a Sole Treadmill off Amazon and it is still the treadmill I use today. I used it after my daughter, my son and now again trying to lose weight recently. It’s held up wonderfully and never needed any work. This treadmill {HERE} is an updated version of the one that’s currently in my basement. That said, pay someone else to put it together. It pays off.
Bike
We bought a Peleton during the craze in 2020 when everyone was stuck at home and needed to workout. I enjoy it, but not as much as Kevin enjoys it. It is more of his thing. However, we my body now needs a rest from running, it’s a good option. You can find the machine we have {HERE}.
Elliptical
I bought an elliptical a few weeks ago because after running so much, I gave myself planter facetious and the arthritis in my left knee started flaring up. I researched like crazy before buying one. I wanted one with a back flywheel because they’re less likely to come off the track and a name I trusted. I looked at Nordic Track, Sole since I love my treadmill and went with a Precor 225, which I used to use at the gym. You usually have to buy these from a gym store, but {HERE} is a similar machine too. Also, {HERE} is another one that gets pretty solid reviews and is more budget friendly.
Weight equipment
Weights are a big part of getting in shape and toned so I’ve included them here in gift ideas for working out and fitness. I personally use hand weights and have a hyper extension bench for the love handle area. Again, we’ve had this for about 7 years so our’s is an older model, but I love it. This one {HERE} is a better version of what I have downstairs.
Workout clothing
So because I’ve worked out so much, I’ve developed a few favorite items throughout the last year when it comes to clothing. These gift ideas for working out include some of my favorite clothes. I’ve specifically become picky about sports bras because some have literally rubbed me raw. This one {HERE} by Nike seems a bit pricy but I love it and have it in many colors. These are my favorite pants {HERE} and when I’m outside (which is very rare) I always have a flipbelt {HERE}.
Thanks so much for visiting today, friends. I hope you love these gift ideas for working out and fitness. See more gift ideas {HERE} and check out these ideas for the home cook too {HERE}.
My family is not athletic in the slightest eat, so unfortunately this list won’t help me much this year. However, it’s still a good variety of workout gear for any kind of athlete. Thank you!
