I know everyone loves a delicious mimosa with Sunday brunch or to celebrate, well, anything. But to me, it feels like fall should have it’s own version. With all the warm and cozy flavors of fall, a simple and elegant fall version of the well-loved mimosa seems like the perfect way to bring this lovely drink into the season. An Apple Cider Mimosa is just what we all need to celebrate the season and anything fall related.
Simple and unfussy
Nothing says autumn is here more than a bushel full of apples, apple picking with our family or a tall, crisp glass of apple cider. So Apple Cider Mimosas are the easiest way to blend apple cider and a little champagne into a bubbly, little, fun fall drink. It’s simple and it’s tasteful without being overly fussy or needing a lot of ingredients. It’s also something you can literally whip together in 5 minutes. While I appreciate that some drinks really like to mix it up, I love that this one is simple and uncomplicated.
Champagne and Apple party
Apple cider is almost always too sweet for me. Believe it or not,I’ma savory girl over a sweets girl. It might be why I actually prefer pie as a dessert over cake. Give me crust over frosting any day of the week. With Apple Cider Mimosas, the champagne will actually help to cut the sweetness of the apple cider. It really gives the drink a beautiful flavor that feels like fall but still feels refreshing.
Not only is this drink perfect for brunch, but it’s also a wonderful cocktail for adults at a Halloween Party and Thanksgiving. In fact, I think this one is worth it even right up until Christmas. Although, make sure you don’t miss these Christmas Mimosas {HERE}.
Tips for making a Apple Cider Mimosa
- There may not be a lot to this recipe, but there are a few things I think you should know:
- Definitely don’t skip the sugar and cinnamon on the rim! It really adds a nice, little extra flavor to the drink overall.
- A lot of recipes will have you add apples as a garnish.I like to add them in my glass. The slice of fruit at the end feels like a little extra treat.
- This recipe makes one serving. It’s perfect for small gathering and I recommend making it by the glass. I don’t think it is something you should try to mix in a punch bowl.
